GRADISKA – The job of the second phase of construction of the new border crossing Gradiška was awarded by ITC Zenica.

As confirmed yesterday by the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH, otherwise the project investor, the procurement procedure ended with the conclusion of a contract with this company. “Appeals have in the meantime been solved by the Appeals Office (URŽ). URŽ solutions are the ultimate administrative act, which was a condition for entering into a contract with the aforementioned contractor,” they said in IAU BiH.

They argued that the company ITC Zenica was introduced to work yesterday, and that the works, according to the contract, will last 400 calendar days, or more than a year. The value of the works is around KM 14.2 million.

This information is more significant since the recently acquired conditions for the construction of the bridge on Sava kod Gradiška, without which the new border crossing loses every sense. And vice versa. It is worth recalling, the RS Ministry of Spatial Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology issued a few months ago approval for the “Autoputevi RS” to issue a building permit for the construction of the Sava Bridge.

In this way, virtually all the obligations of RS and BiH are fulfilled, when this project is in question, and now everything else is on the Government of the Republic of Croatia, which should complete all its procedures so that, according to the estimates, a tender was announced in spring This great project.

When, then, the new GP was involved, the whole project was marked by controversy.

Namely, after the AIU BiH has announced a 15 million KM worth of tender for the second phase of the construction of a new crossing by the end of 2015, the most favored bidder was selected by a consortium of companies “Prijedor Puteva” with a bid of about 14 million KM. But this was the beginning of a one-year soap opera that had long since lasted, since after the election of “Prijedor Putevi”, a series of appeals by other tenderers – participants in the procedure – followed.

Then the decision was made that the entire procedure was annulled, and two more appeals were submitted by two bidders. “A complaint was made to the Appeal Office, filed by the ITA on 16 November 2016. In further proceedings in the above-mentioned case, the ITA will act in accordance with the Public Procurement Law,” he said earlier for “Nezavisne” Ratko Kovačević, spokeswoman for ITA BiH. In the meantime, many lawsuits were filed before the competent courts, after having filed a literally appeal against appeals, where the work was eventually assigned to this company.

We remind you, the first phase of construction of the new GP Gradiška has included all the works of preparation and alignment of the terrain and all the works of civil engineering, and the total investment in this part was KM 8,4 million.
