It is a bridge that will soon connect the already built Gradiška-Banja Luka highway with the network of European highways.
In mid-July, representatives of Hrvatske ceste in Zagreb signed a contract with a consortium consisting of Integral inžinjering, Đuro Đaković and Zagreb-Montaža, which offered a price of 19.5m euros without VAT for the construction of the bridge. pledged to build it in 30 months.
The length of the bridge is 462.2 m, width 22.6 meters while the weight of the load-bearing steel structure is 4,650 tons. The bridge will have four lanes, two in each direction.
By the way, the story about the construction of this bridge started back in 2004, when the first memorandum was signed between BiH and Croatia regarding that project. After that, it took three years to sign a protocol on cooperation, and only in 2010 did Hrvatske ceste sign a contract with the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb for the preparation of project documentation.
After that, in 2011, the Government of Croatia and the Council of Ministers of BiH signed an Agreement on the construction of an interstate bridge over the Sava River near Gradiša.
It was then announced that the works would begin in 2013 at the latest, when the European Union promised assistance, and shortly after that, the EU officially approved a non-refundable grant of 6.8 million euros through the Investment Framework for the Balkans. That year, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, hoping that the works on the construction of the bridge would start, started with the construction of a new customs terminal, which was completely completed. The deadline for the completion of the construction of the bridge is 30 months from the beginning of the works.
Croatian Roads published a 3D simulation of the bridge on the Sava in Gradiška. Where will you drive after the project is completed, see in the >>>this video<<<.
